After capping off Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the light and friendly Ant-Man, Marvel is diving back into the deep end early next year with Captain America: Civil War. The story of the film is relatively complex, but all you really need to know is that Captain America and Iron Man will butt heads, and the Avengers will split in their wake.
On Thursday, we finally found out how the teams will shake out on the big screen.

Jeremy Renner took to Twitter yesterday to unveil a few key pieces of concept art for Civil War, showcasing the two teams that will duke it out in 2016.
On Captain America’s side we see Hawkeye, Bucky Barnes (the Winter Soldier), Ant-Man, Falcon and former agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Sharon Carter (aka Agent 13). On the other side, Iron Man has recruited Black Widow, Black Panther, the Vision and War Machine. Other Avengers will appear in the film, but these are the primary combatants.
Although Spider-Man played a major role in the comic book event of the same name, he’ll only have a cameo in the movie. Still, this will be the debut of both Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther, each of which have movies of their own in the pipeline. If you want to see the future of the MCU, Civil War is a must-watch.
Captain America: Civil War releases in theaters on May 6th, 2016.
