Come September, you might want to consider heading down to your local Circuit City for your big screen needs. An inside source has revealed that the company is planning on slashing their set prices. The move will come as an attempt to compete with fellow big box retailer, Best Buy. Despite their somewhat, well, shady retail practices, Best Buy has been crushing the competition as of late, and the other guys have been forced to “put up or pack.” Seems that Circuit City could be choosing the latter path. Cheap is good, though it remains to be seen just how much a discount will be applied…only time will tell, so keep your eyes glued to those Sunday paper inserts and we’ll keep you posted.
