AT&T will be moving up the release date of Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S4 smartphone. The carrier opened preorders for the device last week with a ship date of April 30th. AT&T is now notifying customers to tell them that some preorders will arrive on April 25th. The company also revealed on its Twitter page that the smartphone will be available in stores two days later on April 27th, the same day as Sprint.

Samsung’s flagship smartphone is equipped with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD resolution, a 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The handset also includes 2GB of RAM, up to 64GB of internal storage, NFC, a microSD slot and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

AT&T is offering the 16GB model of the Galaxy S4 starting at $199 with a new two-year agreement. The carrier’s full note to customers who preordered the phone follows below.

Dear Valued AT&T Customer,

Thank you for ordering the Samsung Galaxy S®4 from AT&T. We are excited to announce that we are able to ship devices earlier than originally expected. Customers who pre-ordered their smartphone early can begin receiving it as soon as April 25th.

You should expect to receive an Order Confirmation email with your shipment tracking number as soon as your order has been shipped.

AT&T is committed to outstanding customer service and we hope you are as delighted with this good news as we are to be sharing it with you.

Sincerely,

AT&T
