The Apple rumor-mill is really churning out some product this week. According to site fscklog, the above image is a preview of what the new 13-inch MacBook Pro will look like. What’s new and notable? An Intel Core i5 processor, SDXC card slot, available matte screen, and Intel’s Light Peak technology. Renamed by Apple as Thunderbolt — which is totally different than the ThunderBolt — Intel’s high-speed bus technology provides data transfer speeds of 10Gb per second — with speeds of up to 100Gb/s in the future. “At 10Gb/s, you could transfer a full-length Blu-Ray movie in less than 30 seconds,” explains Intel. It has been widely rumored that Apple and Intel will hold independent press conferences on Thursday to formally introduce the new wares. Hit the jump for an image of the purported Thunderbolt logo.
