Yes, the Apple Watch is coming soon, and yes, it features a more complex user interface that will require some getting used to. But you don’t have to panic about getting lost in all the swiping, glancing, Force Touching and Digital Crowning that you’ll have to do to get around. Apple has already posted on YouTube detailed videos showing how everything is supposed to work, and if that’s not enough, it’ll also teach you how to use the Watch in its retail stores.
As detailed by MacRumors, some Apple stores are already listing Apple Watch Basics workshops that’ll provide more guidance on how to use the smartwatch.
Not all retail locations are showing Apple Watch workshops availability, but it’s likely more stores will offer such tutorial sessions in the future. To find the ones that have started, or will start workshops on April 24th, simply go to the Stores section of the Apple Store app and browse the Workshops & Events menu for a certain store.
Apple Watch Basics workshops are spread out throughout the day in the select stores that take registrations for them, at 1.5 hours intervals. Sessions are also available on Saturdays and Sundays, and you go to one even if you haven’t purchased a Watch, or you’re not going to receive yours for a few months.
As seen in the screenshot below, some stores have additional Watch-based sessions, including a Stay in Touch with Apple Watch workshop.
