A United States appeals court late last week handed Samsung (005930) its first legal victory in quite some time, as Reuters reports that the Federal U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington has now ruled that Apple (AAPL) patent trial judge Lucy Koh can reconsider a sales ban against its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet. The South Korean manufacturer had faced an injunction against the Galaxy Tab 10.1 ahead of its massive patent trial against Apple, although the jury found that its tablet had not violated the patent it asserted against it and the company has subsequently argued the injunction should be lifted.

UPDATE: According to The Verge, Judge Lucy Koh has dissolved the U.S. injunction against the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
