Apple Pay might expand to Europe sooner than expected

Apple Pay Europe Release Date

Apple’s mobile payments solution is still only available in America, though Apple is expected to expand Apple Pay support to other markets. One major region for Apple Pay is Europe, and the iPhone maker might soon launch its wireless payments service in at least one European country sooner than we’d anticipated.

Belgium’s KBC Bank used its official Twitter account to tell one customer inquiring about Apple Pay support that the service might be available in the country as soon as this summer, although no actual launch details have been offered. Once launched in Belgium, it’s likely that Apple Pay will also roll out to iPhone users in other European countries, although this is just speculation at this point.

Assuming Apple is ready to bring Apple Pay to other markets as soon as this summer, it’s likely the company will officially announce Apple Pay expansion at WWDC 2015 next month, especially considering that Samsung is also readying its Samsung Pay launch.

Samsung Pay should be available in America and South Korea this summer, with a European launch reportedly set for later this year.
