Google was expected to unveil an updated version of its Android platform during the recent Google I/O conference, but the show came and went without any sign of the new OS. With Google’s Sundar Pichai hosting a press event on July 24th, however, rumors of an Android 4.3 debut are once again swirling. Google’s next-generation Nexus 7 tablet leaked on video earlier this week, and reports suggest the slate will be unveiled during Google’s event next week. Since Android 4.3 is expected to be on board, it stands to reason that Google’s Jelly Bean update will be unveiled as well. Further supporting that notion is a leaked Nexus 4 backup file posted by an xda-developers forum member, which seemingly proves there is an Android 4.3 build out there running on Google’s latest smartphone. A screenshot showing Android 4.3 on the Nexus 4 follows below.
