iPhone chat clients are all the rage these days. Given the early morning release of Apollo IM, the first native IM client on the books, this new AIM release seems a bit…yesterday. That said, it’s pretty significant when AIM themselves (albeit by way of an “AIM employee”) steps up and releases a client to support their own chat protocol. Anyone remember the Europe only AIM client release for Windows Mobile? Didn’t think so. It utilizes AIM’s authenticated servers, so your data stays as safe as can be. Aesthetically pleasing interface? Tiny Buddy AIM has you covered. That said, at the end of the day, do we really need another web-based AIM client for the iPhone?
