We’ve written so much about the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 that we will go positively insane if it’s not released soon. However, there’s still a great deal of mystery surrounding the larger 5.5-inch iPhone model, which is why we’re happy to see that a major new leak has confirmed some key details of Apple’s first phablet.
FROM EARLIER: Huge new iPhone 6 leak shows the device’s rear shell and front panel assembled for the first time
MacRumors directs our attention to a new report from French website iGen.fr that shows us leaked Foxconn documents that give us some more intel on both new iPhone models. According to the documents, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 will measure in at 158 millimeters long, 78 millimeters wide and 7.1 millimeters thick, although that thickness will grow to 7.7 millimeters when you take the phone’s protruding rear camera into account.
The device will also weigh in at 6.5 ounces, which is significantly more than the iPhone 5s’s weight of just under 4 ounces, although this shouldn’t be surprising since the device is much bigger than any iPhone yet released. iGen.fr’s source also claims that the device will feature a 2,915mAh battery, which is much more powerful than any other iPhone battery we’ve seen so far.
We’ve posted one of iGen.fr’s pictures of the leaked Foxconn documents below that compares the 5.5-inch iPhone phablet to other iPhone models, but you should really check out the full report by clicking the source link below.
