Over the past few years, DC’s creations have found a surprisingly cozy home on The CW. Both The Flash and Arrow have become pillars of the network, and in January of next year, an even larger project is being added to the lineup.
DON’T MISS: ‘Jessica Jones’ is a startling, astounding departure from the Marvel norm
You might remember last year The CW announced that a new show called DC’s Legends of Tomorrow would take place within the same universe as The Flash and Arrow. The plot of the show, according to the YouTube description: “Time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter must assemble a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat to the planet…and to time itself.”
DC is planning a Justice League movie for 2017, but until I see some definitive proof that the movie side of the studio has turned things around, I’m going to be more excited about this televised superhero team-up than anything else on DC’s docket. With its colorful cast and sense of humor, Legends of Tomorrow could be The Avengers for TV.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will premiere on Thursday, January 21st, 2016 at 8 p.m.
