Curious… very curious. A render of a supposed HTC smartphone headed to AT&T this year leaked on Tuesday, and beneath the device is a list of specs that seem believable enough. Among them are a 4.3-inch display, 16GB of internal storage, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 3-megapixel front-facing camera. Also included, however, is the OS, which is noted as “Android Honeycomb.” Honeycomb is currently a tablet-only version of Google’s mobile OS and there’s no official word that will change — in fact, it has been rumored that smartphones might not get Honeycomb’s features or UI enhancements until the next version of Android, Ice Cream. Google hasn’t said one way or the other, however, so it’s entirely possible that Honeycomb could eventually make it to smartphones; maybe even by the third quarter of this year, when the HTC Revolver is rumored to launch with AT&T.
