Engadget is reporting that a “source close to the situation” has informed them that the Motorola DROID Pro will simply be a clone of the current DROID 2 handset with an HSPA and GSM radio for global roaming. The blog notes that Verizon has been known to muck with device-branding and identity right up until device launch, and the DROID Pro name may not stick.
Shifting gears, the site is also reporting that the LG enV Touch 2 will be an Android 2.1 device that has dual touch screens; one on the inside and one on the outside. The Touch 2 will have a similar form factor to the current enV and will hinge open to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. The device was also described as “pretty big and heavy” by the tipster.
Would anyone be disappointed if the DROID Pro turned out to be a DROID 2 with a SIM card?
