Remember last month when we told you that Sprint would be launching its WiMAX in Baltimore by the end of next month? Well, that next month is here and with it being almost half over without any announcements, we and everyone else are starting to wonder what is happening with Sprint’s much delayed grandiose plans. On Thursday, a tipster at DSL Reports claims the launch has been delayed again. According to the tipster, a new launch date has been set for October 6th with locations, coverage, and prices being announced on September 26th via Sprint’s website. The launch is supposedly fully green-lit with plans for the Chicago and D.C. markets to go live shortly after Baltimore. Sounds great, right? Not really, as this October date contradicts another report also surfacing Thursday over at Gearlog. The folks at Gearlog inquired about the WiMAX launch and Sprint responded with a 5 word statement, “Launch still on for September.” So which is it, September or October? We would love to believe you this time Sprint, we really would but with your track record of delays, we’re leaning towards the tipster on this one.
