We’re just hours away from the launch of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, which means it’s that time of the year when you’re not going to be able to walk by an Apple Store without wondering how anyone has the time or patience to stand in line for hours to get a new phone.

Joking aside, the rabid enthusiasm for the iPhone hasn’t cooled in the near-decade since the launch of the original model. On Friday, thousands of consumers are gong to stream in and out of Apple Stores all around the world, so we figured we would scrounge through Twitter in order to find photographic evidence of the lines.

Here’s a picture from @C47 at the Miami Beach Apple Store in Florida:

The crowd in Brussels, Belgium is even more impressive, as you can see in this photo from @mathiaservyn:

The official Twitter account for Vodafone New Zealand (@vodafoneNZ) joined in on the fun as well:

The following photo from @TheSiskar shows that New Yorkers have been lined up outside of the 5th Avenue Apple Store for over a week now:

And thanks to @JacksonLeeks, we can see how many people are lined up on 5th Avenue as of today:

These are just a few examples of the excitement surrounding the iPhone 6s. Although it looks nearly identical to the iPhone 6, reviewers have called the 3D Touch feature a revolution, and it’s sure to be the thing that most everyone standing in line is looking forward to trying out themselves. That, and the 12-megapixel camera.
