Awesome timelapse video shows just how much effort cats put into being lazy

Anyone who owns a cat knows how much they love sleeping in the sun. An awesome timelapse video that was actually filmed three years ago but that is just now getting attention thanks to Reddit shows just how much work cats put into being extremely lazy.

Essentially, the video shows a house with eight — yes, eight — cats who are constantly moving throughout the afternoon to stay inside the beam of sunlight that’s shining into a living room. If you just watched an eight-hour version of this video, it would be hard to discern when the cats moved because they do it as gradually as the movement of the sun but in timelapse form, their activity is much clearer.

The best part comes at around the one-minute mark, which features an overhead shot that appears to show a pillar of cats staggering to keep up with the sunlight. Check out the whole thing below.
