It’s been a long, arduous wait, but the good news is that it’s nearly over. LG announced on Friday that the Lollipop update for G3 smartphones is “coming soon.” How soon, we’re not sure, but considering the fact that the update is already live on the G3 in other territories (and has been for weeks), it shouldn’t be much longer.
FROM EARLIER: LG is already rolling out Lollipop for its best phone of the year
The sooner LG can release the update in all the major markets, the sooner the company can turn its attention to its upcoming flagship phone. At this point, the lack of Lollipop is a distraction for LG users — once it’s out, they’ll have a better idea of what the G4 will look like when it launches later this.

We’ll keep our eyes open, but don’t be surprised if the update starts rolling out as early as this weekend.
