Apple has an enormous target on its back, as would any company receiving as much critical praise and financial success as the iPhone maker. This has brought plenty of unwanted attention from all corners of the world, including a recent claim by Chinese phone maker Digione that the iPhone 6 infringes upon a patent granted in July.

Macworld reports that Digione published a letter on Monday that it had sent to Apple back in September when the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were unveiled. The letter informed Apple of a patent which described a phone eerily similar to the iPhone 6… except for a few key differences.
For example, the 100+ V6 (Digione’s device) features a 5.5-inch screen, markedly different hardware specifications and, perhaps most importantly, runs on a modified version of Android. Admittedly, it could pass for an iPhone 6 at a glance, but it’s hard to say whether or not Digione will have a case if the two companies ever enter a courtroom.
Apple could not be reached for comment by Macworld and has yet to respond to Digione, according to the company’s recent posts on social networking site Sina Weibo.
