Well that was fast… Apple just released iOS 8 to the public last week and on Wednesday, just one week since the new software’s initial release, Apple has issued its first update. iOS 8.0.1 is available immediately on all compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models as an over the air (OTA) update or as a download through iTunes.

UPDATE: It would be wise to hold off on installing this update — hundreds of users are reporting major issues with cellular network connectivity and Touch ID failing to work after iOS 8.0.1 is installed.
