Following a number of conflicting reports, Apple’s (AAPL) upcoming entry-level iPhone is now said to include the same 4-inch Retina display as Apple’s current-generation iPhone 5, and it will supposedly be available in several new colors. Well-connected KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo on Friday issued a note to clients, picked up by AppleInsider, suggesting that Apple’s cheaper iPhone will not include a larger 4.8-inch panel. Instead, it will utilize the same 4-inch display as Apple’s current-gen iPhone when it launches later this year. The analyst also noted that the new entry-level iPhone will include a plastic case between 0.4 and 0.6 millimeters thick, and will be available in four to six new colors along with the traditional black and white.
