The excitement surrounding the impending release of Watch Dogs was slightly tempered earlier in the week when Ubisoft announced that the PS4 version of the game would run at 900p and the Xbox One version would run at 792p. Early adopters have felt slighted as many new generation releases have failed to reach the pinnacle of 1080p resolution and 60fps, but the disparity between the consoles has been an even larger point of contention. Thankfully, CinemaBlend has cobbled together a few screenshots to compare the game’s visuals on the PS3, PS4 and Xbox One so we can begin to put the argument to rest once and for all.

Although the quality isn’t pristine, the lighting and weather effects are pretty clear markers to help determine which screenshot belongs to which console version. In case you weren’t able to figure it out, the top screen is from the PS3, the middle screen is from the Xbox One and the bottom screen is from the PS4.

If graphics are a primary factor in your purchasing decisions, it looks like, once again, PC is the way to go. The game will still look great on the new consoles, but they won’t be able to compete with the PC version on ultra high settings.

Watch Dogs will be available for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on May 27th.
