Following the numerous leaks that offered plenty of pictures detailing the new iPhone 6 design, including photos of alleged iPhone 6 mock-ups, Nowherelese found a short hands-on video with a dummy iPhone 6 unit from China, showing a mock-up of the device from all angles. The dummy model is supposedly based on real iPhone 6 schematics that leaked some time ago.
The design elements from recent leaks, including curved glass, curved corners and edges, an iPod touch-like volume rocker, the relocation of the power button from the top side to the right side and the more round camera flash are all shown off in the video. Furthermore, the iPhone 6 mockup has a very thin profile, consistent with what recent reports have claimed about the device.
Other easily recognizable iPhone design elements can also be seen, including the Touch ID home button, mute button, SIM card tray location, Lightning port, speaker, front-facing camera, sensors and microphones, and Apple logo on the back. It’s not clear though where this iPhone 6 dummy unit comes from, or who made it.
From the looks of it, this may very well be a mockup for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 version, and seems to be consistent with a series of image leaks of similar mockups, but also with a supposedly leaked iPhone 6 case that was recently discovered and used to compare the handset to the iPhone 5s, iPod touch and various flagship Android handsets.
However, there’s one difference between these mockups, when it comes to the camera on the back. Yesterday’s images showed a device with a slightly protruding camera, whereas the device in the video below has a rear camera design more in line with current iPhone models.
