Amidst rumors of parent company Ebay’s desire to pawn them off on the highest bidder, Skype appears to be cruising along without a care in the world. The company had a successful first quarter, and is about to offer a new plan that could attract even more subscribers. Beginning today, anyone so inclined can sign up for unlimited calling to landlines in any of 34 countries across the globe. The plan will run you $9.95, and includes unlimited calling to U.S. landlines and cellphones. International cellphone calls are restricted to Canada, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore, though landlines are free anywhere Skype offers Skype-landline service.
