MetroPCS is one of a few small carriers in the US currently surging on the back of ridiculously attractive unlimited plans. Despite the fact that its “hello, hello, helloooo” jingle haunts our dreams at night, it’s hard to argue that unlimited plans starting at $30 per month don’t make your ears perk up. With this latest play, BlackBerry fans finally have an option when considering MetroPCS. Sure, some may be deterred by the fact that the carrier is launching the Curve 8330 while AT&T has the Bold and is waiting on the Curve 8900, Verizon has the Storm and is waiting on the Niagra and T-Mobile has the Curve 8900 and is waiting on anything with 3G. Rest assured however, no one with any of those sexy new BlackBerry handsets is sporting a plan in the ballpark of $50 per month for unlimited everything including BIS (BES is an additional $10). The very same line of thinking also allows us to laugh off the high asking price for the handset — despite a brief appearance on the MetroPCS site at $349, the actual price is $449 — as the monthly savings will definitely add up fast. So, BlackBerry fans in the MetroPCS coverage areas, interest piqued?
