It has been almost two months since Apple launched its new iPhone 5c and flagship iPhone 5s handsets. Where the former is concerned, sales have been unexpectedly slow according to dozens of reports. But when it comes to the iPhone 5s, Apple can’t build them fast enough. Apple sold 9 million combined 5s and 5c handsets through the first weekend of availability and demand hasn’t slowed down at all. In fact, people are still lining up for Apple’s flagship smartphone nearly two months following their debut. We now finally have our first sign that supply is beginning to catch up with demand: shipping quotes for new orders placed in Apple’s online store have now improved to 1-2 weeks around the world, iGen reports. While there is still no indication of when Apple Stores and partner stores in the U.S. will finally stock some models — the gold version is still particularly difficult to come by — orders placed online for any model will definitely arrive in time for the holidays.
