HTC’s existing One flagship Android smartphones, including the M7 and M8, have been praised for their designs and overall experience, outclassing top models from the competition in previous years. Chances are that this year’s One M9 will also be a beautifully designed device, one that might appeal to many smartphone buyers, and could end up being described as the best looking phone ever made.
But unlike before, the phone will have to face even tougher competition this year.
For starters, Apple already sells significantly bigger iPhones, which happen to be quite popular with consumers — in previous years, the M7 and M8 did not have comparable rivals from Apple when it comes to screen size.
If that’s not enough of a headache for the Taiwanese smartphone maker, Samsung is also expected to attack the market with two brand new Galaxy S models, including the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. For the first time ever, Samsung is finally putting extra effort into smartphone design, though the inspiration is still coming from the same source in California.
Even so, the Galaxy S6 models will be gorgeous, many leaked schematics and renders created with their help have suggested, and well-known designer Martin Hajek’s recent work only reinforces that thought. The Galaxy S6 might be one of the best-looking Android phones this year, and Hajek has modeled many renders for GottaBeMobile, which show what’s to be expected from this top Samsung phone this year, assuming the leaked schematics are accurate.
