Have you been an AT&T or T-Mobile subscriber at any point over the past five years? If so, your mobile carrier might owe you money. As we’ve reported in the past, both AT&T and T-Mobile were caught “cramming” unauthorized charges on to consumers’ phone bills, but there’s still plenty of time to get a refund.

LAST TIME: T-Mobile forks over $90 million to settle ‘unfounded’ cramming charges

In a news conference on Monday afternoon, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal and FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel explained the process by which any affected subscribers would be able to receive their refunds, reports the Hartford Courant.

“Those carriers have been profiting from those false, fraudulent fees to the tune of 30 to 40 cents of every dollar, and that is not only wrong, it’s illegal, and it should produce refunds for consumers, but it won’t automatically do so,” Blumenthal said. “That’s why we’re here today. Ask the carrier, through the website or the phone number … and make the claim for refunds.”

If you’d like to apply for a refund from T-Mobile, head to http://t-mobilerefund.com/billing or call 1-855-382-6403. The deadline for the application is April 30th, 2015. If you were or are an AT&T subscriber, head to http://www.ftc.gov/enforcement/cases-proceedings/refunds/att-refunds before May 1st, 2015 to claim your refund.

Although a settlement hasn’t been reached yet, Sprint should be offering refunds for its customers as well in the coming months. Verizon is also guilty of cramming, but nothing seems to be in the works at the moment for its customers.
