A new set of leaked images from Weibo seem to indicate that the iPhone 6 production preparations are already underway and the phone will see a big design overhaul. The pictures, spotted by G for Games, reveal alleged schematics as well as molds that could be used to manufacture the iPhone 6’s chassis.

Apple is rumored to launch at least one bigger iPhone model later this year, with various reports suggesting that a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 would hit stores first, at some point in late Q3. An even bigger 5.5-inch iPhone version has also been detailed in many reports, with recent ones implying that certain manufacturing issues may prevent Apple from launching it at the same time with the 4.7-inch iPhone.

Foxconn is already rumored to have received a huge iPhone 6 order for 2014, although it’s not clear whether the leaked images originate from one of its factories.

While Apple has not confirmed it will make a bigger iPhone yet, the company is certainly aware that there’s plenty of demand for such devices – internal Apple documents made public during its second U.S. patent trial against Samsung revealed that Apple knows customers want products it doesn’t have, including big-screen handsets.

A recent survey has shown that more potential smartphone buyers would get a new iPhone this year compared to previous years, assuming the device would offer a bigger display.

The leaked images showing the alleged schematics and production tools for the iPhone 6 follow below.
