It’s a simple truth: no other mass-market consumer electronics devices on the planet look and feel like Apple’s iPhone handsets and iPad tablets. The company’s designs are gorgeous, the materials it uses are a cut above the rest, and the end results are devices that are sleeker than anything the competition has managed to come up with. Apple gadgets undoubtedly look and feel more premium than anything the competition has come up with, but are they really sturdier and built with more care than rival phones and tablets?

According to a battery of tests performed by SquareTrade Europe, Apple’s consumer gadgets are among the most breakable devices in the world. In fact, not only was Apple’s iPad mini declared the single most breakable device in the world, but Apple’s phones and tablets actually managed to occupy four out of the top 10 slots in SquareTrade’s ranking of the most breakable consumer devices on the market.

“We are all investing in more and more technology, so when we do we want to make sure that we are going to get our money’s worth,” SquareTrade Europe’s Kevin Gillan told The Telegraph. “By putting devices through tests that replicate real life situations, we want to help people make smart choices when it comes to choosing gadgets and ensure they are covered against accidental damage.”

So what exactly did the firm find in all of its testing? Here are the 10 most breakable gadgets in the planet, along with their “breakability scores” (lower is better):

1. iPad mini – 7.5
2. Samsung Galaxy S4 – 7
3. iPad Air – 6.5
4. Samsung Galaxy S III – 6.5
5. iPhone 5c – 6
6. Nexus 7.1 – 6
7. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 – 5.5
8. iPhone 5s – 5.5
9. Nexus 7.2 – 5
10. Moto X – 4.5
