It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the Apple / Volkswagen collaboration that has been cleverly dubbed the “iCar”. It seems that the negotiation between the two companies have gone a bit sour. It’s hard to ferret out the specifics, as the news comes courtesy of a German-language website, but as far as we can tell, there were negotiations taking place between Steve Jobs and the CEO of Volkswagen as recently as September. Apparently the talks have come to a halt, and progress on the project has been put on hold. In the mean time, we’re sending an operative to Berlin to get to the bottom of this, as the details seem a bit too vague for our liking.
