Samsung told us last week in Barcelona that the Galaxy S7 features one of the best cameras around, if not the best. The company took several hits at the iPhone 6s during the official announcement, suggesting that the Galaxy S7 is miles ahead of its rivals.

The Galaxy S7’s fast autofocus, optical image stabilization (OIS), dual-pixel technology and f/1.7 aperture are just some of the camera features that should help Samsung beat Apple for the title of best smartphone camera. And now a new short video recorded entirely with the Galaxy S7 proves how powerful the new phone’s camera really is.

Titled Making Movies on the Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge? the two-minute video is impressive, to say the least. Video artist Ash Tailor took a variety of shots to highlight the phone’s photography performance. The extremely fast autofocus and the phone’s low-light recording capabilities are immediately apparent in the shots.

The optical image stabilization is also evident, as there’s hardly any camera shake in this clip.

While the video was shot by a professional, it does seem to answer the question it proposes. The Galaxy S7 can be used by professionals looking to replace their regular camera with something more compact, that also happens to be a smartphone.

Apple has advertised the photography features of the iPhone for years, especially when it comes to recording full feature films and commercials. In fact, Apple has shot iPhone ads using nothing but the iPhone. The video below suggests the iPhone will have some competition in that regard, however.

And if you’re curious how the phone’s OIS works, check out this teardown video.
