Walmart (WMT) stores nationwide, along with its Sam’s Club retail warehouses, will reportedly no longer carry Amazon’s (AMZN) Kindle line of tablets and eReaders. According to an alleged internal memo obtained by Reuters, the world’s largest retailer recently made a “business decision” to no longer sell Amazon’s devices. “We have recently made the business decision to not carry Amazon tablets and eReaders beyond our existing inventory and purchase commitments,” the company said in a memo sent to store managers dated September 19th. “This includes all Amazon Kindle models current and recently announced.” Earlier this year, Target became the first nationwide retailer to stop sales of Amazon’s Kindle products due to competition with other products.
