If you want quality broadband in the United States, you probably need to move to the Northeast or the West Coast. Technology lobbying firm TechNet has released its State-by-State Broadband Report and has found that states on the two coasts have the best broadband service in the entire country. Washington, Massachusetts and Delaware account for the top three states, followed by Maryland, California, New Jersey, Vermont, Virginia, Utah and New York. Arkansas, Alaska and Hawaii, meanwhile, were the three lowest-ranked states for broadband service in the U.S. TechNet ranked states’ broadband services based on a variety of factors, including broadband adoption, average broadband speeds, and the extent to which states’ economies had an “orientation toward broadband.”
