Don’t ask us for a lot of specifics because even our tipsters don’t have them, but we’re hearing Sprint has a pretty big internal announcement penciled in for this week. Several employees hit us up over the weekend after having allegedly received a memo from the bigwigs informing them of a mandatory meeting which will take place after local shops close up on the 31st (apparently the high-ups “don’t want to spoil the surprise”). All we can do at this point is speculate about what Hesse & Co. could possibly have up their sleeves, but some of our new connects think it might have something to do with Sprint going nuclear, as people who haven’t paid attention to it in the past now have their eyes glued thanks to the sudden awareness of 4G WiMAX owing to the HTC EVO 4G. We’ve got our eye on you, Sprint.
