For once, we’re prepared to say that wireless carriers exhibiting sheep mentality is working in the best interest of the consumer. Funny that. Just as we thought, Sprint is preparing to follow closely behind T-Mobile’s recent Unlimited Family Talk announcement, officially revealing some new options for Shared Plan subscribers hoping to get some friends and family in on the unlimited action. Beginning June 15th, Sprint will begin offering unlimited messaging, data, GPS navigation, and more for Shared plans. The catch, unfortunately, is that your additional lines won’t be able to share an unlimited bucket of minutes. $129.99 nets you 1500 shared minutes, with 3000 minutes coming in at $169.99. This includes 2 lines, with additional lines coming in at $19.99 a piece. If you’re only interested in sharing unlimited messaging along with your bucket of minutes, expect to pay $99.99 for 1500 minutes, $149.99 for 3000 minutes, and $9.99 for each additional line. We’d like to see an Unlimited Calling option akin to T-Mobile’s new plans, but all-you-can-eat data for a fraction of the cost of the current add-ons is certainly an impressive place to start. Anyone getting ready to jump in?
