Samsung wants you to think of the Galaxy S5 as a luxury good, even if the device’s outer case is made of cheap-feeling dimpled plastic. With this in mind, Samsung has teamed up with luxury crystal designer Swarovski to create a new cover for the Galaxy S5 that is draped from top to bottom in crystals. Samsung says that the new Galaxy S5 Crystal Collection will launch sometime in May and will, according to a Google translation of Samsung’s Korean YouTube page, “meet the special glitter.” This isn’t the first time Samsung and Swarovski have partnered on a luxury smartphone case, as the two companies first got together to create a $300 crystal case for the Galaxy Note 3 earlier this year.
