Remember the image we showed you that was reportedly a spy shot of the 3G iPhone? We were skeptical at the time. Although the image didn’t have any tell-tale signs of being a Photoshop piece, it also just didn’t adhere to much of what we’ve heard about the upcoming case redesign of the iPhone 2. Well as it turns out, that image is not a “fake” per say. In fact, it is very real. The problem is that it’s not an image of the 3G iPhone. Instead, it’s an image of some protective case made for the current iPhone. Whoops! The case is available from a shop in Hong Kong called “New Golden” and is apparently called “colourware”. So there you have it – the ugliness we were all a bit scared of likely bears no resemblance of what we can expect to see from Apple in a month or two. Whew!
