Site iDealsChina has published CAD renderings of what it claims to be Apple’s next generation iPhone, the iPhone 5. The “mold engineering drawings” depict a device that looks very similar to the iPhone 4 — complete with an external antenna design — but add a larger display panel with thinner borders. The site is reporting that the handful of renderings were created to aid case manufacturers in the production of new protective products — similar drawings of the iPad 2 leaked months before the device’s announcement. The images directly conflict with a report filed by Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, which indicated that Apple was considering a milled aluminum body for the next iPhone. Hit the jump to check out the additional renderings and let us know what you think.
