Last month, Popcorn Time released an iOS installer for Windows that for the first time let iPhone users install the app onto their devices without jailbreaking their phones. Now the “Netflix for Pirates” has come out with a new installer for Mac that it hopes will get more iPhone users on board than ever before.

Popcorn Time tells TorrentFreak that more than 100,000 iPhone users installed the app using the Windows-based installer when it first launched last month. Now it hopes that releasing a Mac-based installer will get its iPhone install total up to 1 million for the first time.
Even with these new installers you still have the option of installing Popcorn Time on your jailbroken iPhone, of course, by installing it directly through Cydia. You aren’t going to see the app show up on the iTunes App Store anytime soon for very obvious reasons.
Despite its recent invasion of the iPhone, Popcorn Time says that iOS is still its third biggest platform and that Android and Windows are still the top two. However with new installers that let users bypass jailbreaks, the app has clear ambitions of becoming iOS users’ favorite mobile piracy app.
