Apple on Monday made the near-final Gold Master version of its upcoming OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion operating system available to developers. OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion includes hundreds of new features, most notably the additions of a revamped Messages app with iMessage support, enhanced iCloud support, new notifications and new productivity apps. Apple will release OS X 10.8 to end users later this month for just $19.99.
