Dos Owls’ Odin is a tiny gadget that measures just 4.3 x 6 x 1.8 inches, weighs up to 2.2 pounds (the steel version), and could replace your computer, TV and cable. The Odin is basically an Android-powered computer with access to Google Play store apps and content that’s ready to be used for entertainment and business purposes, and can be easily carried around. The device isn’t available for purchase just yet, as it’ll soon kick off a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign.
The Odin packs a 1.6GHz quad-core Cortex A9 processor, 2GB of RAM, 8/16/64GB of storage, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth support, and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. The device features HDMI and USB connections and packs a removable and rechargeable 2500mAh battery ready to offer 45 minutes of runtime in entertainment mode or 6 hours in speaker mode. The Odin also includes 2 4-watt Bluetooth speakers and a built in stand.
The projector component of the Odin uses a 0.3-inch DMD display, LED light source and offers a resolution of 854 x 480.
The Odin will cost $495 on Kickstarter, with the crowd-funding campaign expected to launch on May 28.
