Photos of unannounced Nokia Windows Phone 8 device emerge

Images of what is claimed to be an unannounced next-generation Lumia smartphone from Nokia (NOK) running Windows Phone 8 have been published on Chinese micro-blogging service Weibo. No information about the handset was provided, though if it is authentic, it appears to be a low- or mid-range handset. Bernstein Research said in a recent research note that consumers don’t want Windows Phones, but Nokia is betting big that smartphone users will come around. The Finnish smartphone vendor is expected to unveil multiple Windows Phone 8-powered smartphones during a press conference next week, including a high-end device that may include Nokia’s ultra-high resolution PureView camera technology.
