Motorola has confirmed that the small event scheduled for later this week isn’t for the Moto X or its rumored Droid-branded smartphones. The company revealed in a statement to Android Community that no products will be announced or launched at the July 10th and 11th events at Google’s Mountain View headquarters. Motorola employee Guy Kawasaki is merely hosting a private gathering of friends, it would seem. Earlier reports had suggested that the highly anticipated Moto X smartphone would make an appearance at the event. When it was confirmed that this would not be the case, however, it was speculated that Motorola would use the event to debut the Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx and Droid mini.
