We’ll likely have to wait for a more scientific survey to come out before we know more, but it seems that Windows 8 may not be as jarring for consumers as many people feared. ZDNet did an quick scan of online reviews posted on the Home Shopping Network to get a glimpse at how normal people were taking to Windows 8 and found that “nearly 1 in 4 reviewers made a special point to single out Windows 8 for praise” while just 14% of reviewers singled out Windows 8 for criticism. The trick seems to be that many users were prepared for Windows 8 to be a much different experience than previous versions of Windows, as one user said that the new OS was “easier to learn than expected” while another said that it was a good experience despite having “a bit of a learning curve.”
