Apple released OS X 10.10 Yosemite last month and the new desktop operating system was packed full of great new features. Spotlight has been totally remade, Continuity features add terrific integration with iOS devices, and plenty more functionality was added. But beyond features, Yosemite also introduced a completely redesigned interface that is flatter and far more modern than Apple’s earlier desktop software. Menus got a new look, apps got a new look and even icons were completely redesigned, but Apple’s Mac App Store remained unchanged… until now.

As noted by AppleInsider, Apple began rolling out its redesigned Mac App Store on Wednesday night. The new design is much cleaner and more minimalistic than it was previously, and it meshes perfectly with the redesigned user interface in OS X Yosemite.
