LG (055670) proved to the world that it can produce top-notch flagship smartphones last year when it launched the quad-core Optimus G. The hardware was among the best we saw in 2012 and the software was slick and refined. Moving into 2013, LG apparently has more in store at the high end of the market, as new details surrounding the Optimus G Pro emerge.
Images published by Engadget Chinese and specs revealed by Japanese-language Blog of Mobile paint a comprehensive picture of the next flagship phone from LG, which will seemingly launch in the Far East ahead of other markets. Spec highlights include a 5-inch full-HD display, a quad-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, 32GB of internal storage, LTE, a 3,000 mAh battery and the Android Jelly Bean OS.
Images of the device follow below, and rumors suggest the Optimus G Pro may debut next month at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, Spain.
