App developers are getting very creative with the new widget capabilities that Apple added in iOS 8. While Apple may never add conventional widget support to iOS, Notification Center widgets provide a compromise that gives users access to one-swipe information as opposed to zero-touch information, as is the case with Android widgets.

We’ve seen plenty of cool and creative widgets for the iPhone pop up, and now we have a new one to add to the list: NC.

DON’T MISS: Why Samsung fell

Created by iOS developer Akhil Tolani, NC is a $0.99 application that puts a simple Twitter app in your Notification Center on the Today panel. With one quick swipe, you can see recent tweets in your timeline. You can even favorite something or retweet it right from within the widget, or open a tweet in the official Twitter app.

NC’s full App Store description can be found below along with a download link.

View your twitter timeline & mentions on the lockscreen or inside any app to quickly get updated about the world around you with NC.

NC adds a twitter widget to your Notification Center so you no longer need to quit the app you’re using or even unlock your device to check your twitter feed. You can even favourite, retweet or open the tweet in the default twitter app right from the widget!

With NC you can see recent news, facts, quotes, mentions and everything on twitter without even the need to unlock your device or quit the game/app you’re using.
