Samsung’s latest Galaxy Note 4 TV commercial may be iPhone-free, as the South Korean giant focuses on repeating the word “Note” over and over rather than mocking Apple, but that doesn’t mean Samsung is done taking hits at its biggest rival in the mobile business. Phone Arena recently discovered a Samsung print ad for the Galaxy Note 4 features a blueprint of Samsung’s phablet and a clear message telling Apple that with its future iPhones it should look for inspiration in Samsung’s upcoming phablet.
FROM EARLIER: Samsung unleashes humor in hilarious new Galaxy Note 4 commercial
“Dear Apple, here’s a headstart for the iPhone 7,” the ad reads. It’s not known when this print ad appeared or in what newspaper, but it appears to be linked to Apple’s #Bendgate situation. Interestingly, Samsung either isn’t aware of Apple’s iPhone naming scheme after all these years – an iPhone 6s should follow iPhone 6 – or it’s just making a more complex joke here, implying that the 2016 iPhone 7 should be on par with the 2014 Galaxy Note 4. After all, this wouldn’t be the first time the iPhone 6 has been mocked for featuring hardware similar to what top Android handsets had to offer two years ago.
The ad is all the more hilarious considering that Samsung is giving Apple design instructions, and basically telling the company to go ahead and copy the Galaxy Note 4, even though it was found not once, but twice, to infringe several Apple iPhone patents, including design ones. Not to mention that Samsung has just released its own iPhone 5 version.
