As is the case each and every year ahead of Apple’s iPhone announcements, we have already seen plenty of leaks claiming to reveal various details surrounding Apple’s next-generation iPhone 6. Some will end up being true and other reports will be false, but odds are good that we’ll have a pretty good idea of what Apple’s iPhone 6 looks like long before the company finally announces the new phone. Regarding the handset’s design, we’ve seen several leaks suggest that the device will be larger and thinner, and we have also seen a few purported cases leak as well. Now, an insider with a proven track record claims to have gotten his hands on the first real iPhone 6 case.
From earlier: Completely redesigned iPhone 6 fully detailed in huge leak from insider
“While it’s true that anyone could make a case and claim it’s for an ‘iPhone 6,’ the source who produced this case has an excellent track record,” Sonny Dickson wrote on his blog on Tuesday alongside photos of the case. “We’ve also got some exclusive information coming soon that should make you offer this case more than just a passing glance.”
We had already seen a video of this case in an earlier leak, but support from Dickson in obviously worth noting.
In 2013, Dickson published more than a dozen photo galleries that gave the world an early look at cases, internal components and even housings from the iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, Retina iPad mini and iPad Air long before the devices were announced. As such, the case pictured here may indeed give us a good idea of what to expect from Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6.
According to an earlier report from another extremely reliable source, the iPhone 6 will feature a larger 4.7-inch display with 1,334 x 750-pixel resolution, 1GB of RAM, NFC and a much thinner housing. The case pictured here by Dickson seems to support those claims.
Several photos of the purported iPhone 6 case follow below.
