If you own the iPhone 6 Plus, you really shouldn’t go out of your way to bend it like what you’ve seen in some YouTube videos. Even though the device seems more likely to bend than other flagship phablets, it probably won’t bend during the course of regular usage and you have no reason to test it out for yourself other than complete masochism. But if you really need more reasons to not bend your iPhone 6 Plus, consider new data from used gadget marketplace uSell.com that suggests the device will lose a huge chunk of its resale value if it gets bent.

According to uSell.com, past iPhone models have lost an average of 88% of their resell value if they’ve been bent or otherwise deformed. If you apply this to the 128GB iPhone 6 Plus, which sells for $949, that means the device will lose roughly $835 of its resell value if you decide to put it through a bend test.

So really, everyone: Do not bend your iPhone 6 Plus just to see how easy or hard it is. It’s a very expensive mobile device and there are much better uses for it than having it mimic a Gumby doll.
